Warrick Help: Repositories to use Home

Warrick can look for missing resources in four web repositories: Internet Archive, Google, Yahoo, and Live Search. The Internet Archive has resources dating back to 1996, but they are missing more recent resources from the past 6-12 months. The search engine caches have the most up-to-date resources, but they do not store older versions of resources. We recommend you select all four repositories unless you know there are certain ones that do not have any of your website stored. For example, if the website you are recovering has been inaccessible for years, you will probably want to only select the Internet Archive.

If you are using the Internet Archive, Warrick will recover the most up-to-date resources by default. If you want only resources that were archived at a specific date, you can check the Limit dates check box and specify the date limits in the From and To fields. For example, if you only want Warrick to to recover resources that were archived in 2003-2004, you would set From to 2003-01-01 (Jan. 1, 2003) and To to 2004-12-31 (Dec. 31, 2004).
